Info about the talent behind the sites are shown below. Sites are submitted to this showcase by members of our community. Anyone who joins our group can showcase a website. If you are a company that would like to showcase your site here, contact a group officer.
The Indy Media Artists Group is a local meetup that presents demos and hands-on tutorials on a number of art and design platforms. They are a certified Adobe group. They also give away books, programs, and sometimes hardware to members of the group monthly. This site was built to give them a place for their paid members to get resources, submit reviews, and post group information. This site was done in Drupal 6 using Fusion as a base theme.
This was our company website. We built this site using Drupal 6, combining Zen 2 with a nearly 'Panels Everywhere' approach. We created panels for each of the main pages and the blog pages. We used Faceted search for our blog archiving. We area also using an ImageFlow Views Slideshow for our portfolio display.

The HathiTrust Research Center website was designed by <a href="http://terkhorn.com">Felix Terkhorn</a> of Indiana University, and features some preliminary demonstrations including an <a href="http://hathitrust-research.org/article/author-and-title-search">autocompleting search over a small number of volumes in the collection</a>.
The Options Profit (http://www.thestreet.com/options-profits/index.html) site for TheStreet is a premium level stock information service. The site features integration with real time stock quotes, editorial articles and solr heavy search.
The coolest technical aspect of the site is the real time search. It pulls from several different sources to give a very fast autocomplete search experience.
The Data to Insight Center website showcases projects and research undertaken by D2I lab. This site was originally designed by Allan Streib at Pervasive Tech (IU). Our section has had significant design and site building contributions from <a href="http://terkhorn.com">Felix Terkhorn</a>.
This project was a chance for me to get into Drupal 7 and explore what it can do without having a deadline looming in case I came across any critical bugs. I enjoyed working with the new fields setup, and I ended up focusing the organization of the site by taxonomy terms. I used an Adaptive Theme because it was a well-structured HTML 5 theme and I think it turned out very nice.
Features a jQuery accordion-style product menu and an autocomplete product search.
This site was created to help promote the social aspect of the restaurant. They needed a place to upload photos of events, provide information on baquet rooms and party packages, publish daily specials, and showcase the food and drink menu. The design was inspired by the trademarked markee of the front entryway.
Fashion Wrap Up is a Drupal 6 project that allows multiple writers from all over the country create content for the online magazine. There are several levels of users (writers, editors, authenticated user, admins, etc...) with differing permissions. It also relies heavily on taxonomy for ordering the submitted articles. Views is extremely important, as well, for populating the blocks on the home page. Finally, the site is based on advertisements, and the ad server used is OpenX (http://www.openx.org), as I have yet to find a Drupal way to do this as easily or comprehensively.
